3D Packshot and Product Visualization
SHORT ANSWER
A 3D packshot is judged against the actual product: geometry, label, materials, colour and reflections. CGI enables repeatable motion and variants, while photography or scanning supplies surface information that cannot be reconstructed reliably from an incomplete reference.
Match the digital product first
Start with a product audit: verify dimensions against CAD or measurements, load final label artwork and approve one calibrated colour reference. Only then select the camera path and lighting setup. Treat every SKU or packaging change as a separate approval. Do not reuse a mesh or texture when the silhouette, cap, label position or material response has changed.
Design movement after geometry
Motion design adds labels and product facts without changing geometry; post-production keeps materials, reflections and pack details stable between views. Cost is based on model readiness, material complexity, liquid or particle simulations, number of shots, render quality and product variants.
Packshot loops, angles and stills
The delivery set is defined by product use: hero animation, short e-commerce loops, required angles, silent versions and still frames. Geometry, material, label artwork, colour and reflections pass a product check before the render is adapted to each platform.
