WHERE IT FITS

A graphic system that has to work in time

Motion design is useful when a brand must explain, organise or dramatise information without relying on a conventional shoot. It can become a complete animated commercial video or support live-action footage with titles, interfaces and product graphics.

01

Brand and campaign language

We translate an approved identity into movement: typography, transitions, graphic devices and rules that stay coherent across the main film and its versions.

02

Interfaces, processes and data

A motion graphics video can show product states, workflows and numbers clearly. The client confirms screen names, copy, functions, data and units before animation.

03

Presentations and channel versions

The same visual logic can be adapted for a keynote, sales film, social cutdown or screen installation while preserving hierarchy and legibility.

CONTROLLED PRODUCTION

Four gates before final delivery

The team moves from decisions that are inexpensive to revise toward full production. Each gate records what has been approved and what the next stage depends on.

01Scope

Message, channels and source check

We review the task, durations, formats, brand guidelines, layouts, references and mandatory content. Missing product data or unsuitable source files are flagged before the estimate is fixed.

02Direction

Visual route and representative frames

Selected design frames establish composition, typography, colour, texture and the level of detail. They are approved before the team multiplies the system across scenes.

03Timing

Storyboard or animatic

Scene order, duration, transitions and key beats are checked in sequence. This is the review point for structural changes before full animation and sound work.

04Delivery

Animation, sound and versions

Approved scenes are animated, assembled and checked against the delivery matrix. Masters, cutdowns, captions and language or aspect-ratio versions are exported to the agreed specification.

SCOPE AND HANDOFF

What the estimate can include

A motion-design estimate may cover script development, visual direction, design frames, storyboard, animatic, graphic preparation, animation, typography, edit, sound and agreed versions. The exact package is fixed before production starts.

Project files, reusable templates and separate graphic assets are not transferred automatically. If the buyer needs them, the handoff, software versions and licence limits are written into the estimate and contract.

Main master
Approved duration, frame size, codec, sound and final frame.
Channel versions
Agreed horizontal, vertical or short edits checked individually rather than cropped without review.
Rights
Music, fonts, images and voice may require licences. Usage and case-publication permission are agreed separately.
Schedule
Depends on scene count, complexity, interfaces, review rounds, sound and the number of versions.

VERIFIED WORK

Graphics and animation for Lukoil

For this project SHAR developed the graphic language and frame design, animated the graphics, assembled the edit and completed post-production. The final master was delivered in 14 days. That timing describes this case only; a new schedule is calculated from its own scope and review path.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before you commission motion design

Is it only 2D animation?

No. Motion can combine CGI, interfaces, AI graphics, typography, editing and filmed material when the brief requires it.

Does it fit B2B?

Yes. Motion design can present an approved process, interface or data set. When the main task is explanation, the project can be structured as an explainer.

What is included in a motion-design estimate?

The estimate may include script, visual direction, design frames, storyboard, animatic, graphic preparation, animation, typography, edit, sound and agreed versions.

What is approved before full animation?

Copy, visual direction and representative design frames are approved first. A storyboard or animatic then fixes scene order, timing and transitions.

Which materials are needed for an estimate?

Send brand guidelines, source layouts, mandatory messages, durations, release channels and any interface states or data that must appear.

Are project files included?

Not automatically. Project files, templates and separate graphic assets are transferred only when the estimate and contract include them.

What changes the budget and schedule?

Design-frame count, scene count, motion complexity, typography, interfaces, sound, review rounds, durations and channel versions all affect the estimate.
