What is directed AI video production?
Directed AI video uses art direction, approved key frames, scene selection, editing, sound and artifact cleanup. Generation is one stage of the work.
SHAR / DIRECTED AI VIDEO
SHAR produces AI video from approved key frames and a scene list. The team directs generation, selects and cleans frames, edits, adds sound and prepares the agreed channel versions.
AI CASEPinskiy & Co ↗01 / WORK
The public Pinskiy & Co case shows a stylised AI world built around recognisable details of the brand and setting. It is evidence of the material and process, not a promise that every brief should produce the same visual result.

BEFORE PRODUCTION / QUICK ANSWERS
These points help shape an early brief. The method, rights, schedule and delivery package are confirmed after the source materials and channels have been reviewed.
Directed AI video uses art direction, approved key frames, scene selection, editing, sound and artifact cleanup. Generation is one stage of the work.
It fits stylised worlds, visual metaphors and campaigns where controlled variation matters more than documentary product accuracy or physical performance.
Send the task, audience, channels, desired duration, deadline and available brand assets. SHAR then lists the required key frames, generated scenes, cleanup, edit, sound and delivery versions for the estimate.
The visual system, permitted source materials, rights, acceptance criteria and channel versions are fixed before volume scene production.
02 / BOUNDARIES
Product accuracy, real people, rights, schedule and cleanup requirements decide the method for each shot. Scenes that need exact objects or documentary trust move to CGI or live action; directed AI stays with controlled stylisation.
| Route | Useful when | Main production risk |
|---|---|---|
| AI only | Stylised worlds, visual metaphors and generative scenes do not require documentary accuracy | Character and object continuity, artifacts, typography and predictable revisions |
| AI + live action | Real people, products and trust need to remain physically credible | Matching light, camera movement, texture and colour across the methods |
| AI + CGI | A generative environment needs exact geometry, packaging or a controlled product object | Product tolerances, compositing, scale, materials and transitions between methods |
| Live action or CGI | Documentary credibility, repeatable product behaviour or exact mechanics matter more than variability | Adding a technology that does not solve the communication task |
The method is fixed before mass scene production. The hybrid production guide explains how filming, CGI and AI can share one visual system.
03 / CONTROL
Generation does not replace art direction. A scene enters the edit only after its visual system, brand details, continuity and visible defects have been reviewed.
Composition, palette, camera logic, subject scale and product role are approved before the main scene run.
Characters, objects, environment, light and movement are checked across adjacent shots.
Hands, faces, typography, geometry, reflections, edges and unwanted changes are rejected or cleaned.
Supplied brand assets, product details, source materials and unsuitable visual associations are reviewed in context.
04 / CYCLE
The brief records the product and channels; key frames set the visual system; the scene list fixes generation and cleanup; the first edit tests continuity; the delivery list fixes the final versions.
Product, audience, message, placements, duration, deadline, source assets and approval chain.
References, key frames, composition, palette, camera behaviour, brand rules and acceptance criteria.
Directed generation, selection, continuity checks and early rejection of unusable material.
Editing, compositing, graphics, colour, sound and targeted artifact correction.
Master film, agreed adaptations, technical exports and materials included in the contract.
05 / SCOPE
A useful estimate identifies what the team will control, what the client supplies and which files are included after approval.
The final estimate depends on duration, scenes, visual complexity, iterations, cleanup, sound and the number of versions.
Filming, CGI and complex compositing are estimated as separate production work. See the confirmed guide on the Pricing.
The client supplies materials it is permitted to use. Placements, usage, licences, source files and additional materials are defined in the agreed scope.
The contract records the selected tools, source assets, usage limits and files included in the AI video handoff.
The package can include a master, cutdowns, vertical and horizontal versions, graphics, subtitles and technical exports.
Timing follows scene count, approvals, cleanup and the version map; SHAR estimates the schedule after the brief.

AI video production at SHAR starts at RUB 300,000. The final estimate depends on duration, scene count, visual complexity, iterations, artifact cleanup, sound and the agreed delivery versions. Filming, CGI and complex compositing are estimated separately when the production method requires them.
Timing depends on duration, scene count, visual direction, approval stages, cleanup and the number of versions. SHAR provides a preliminary schedule with the estimate after the brief.
Yes. Approved logos, packaging, colours, type, product images and other supplied brand materials can shape the visual system. Product accuracy and the way brand elements appear are agreed before scene production.
AI is useful for directed generative scenes and stylised worlds that do not require documentary accuracy. Live action is safer when real people, trust or physical product behaviour are central. CGI is better when exact geometry, materials or repeatable mechanics are required. These methods can also be combined.
The agreed package can include a master film, cutdowns, vertical and horizontal versions, graphics, subtitles and technical exports for selected channels. The exact version map is fixed in the project scope.

A request to make a commercial with AI does not yet define the production method. Decide what may be stylised and what must stay exact: packaging, UI, a face, a logo or a product action. Test a difficult shot first, then apply the approved approach to the agreed scope.
The estimate includes direction, selection, defect correction, editing, sound and versions, as well as generation. The number of attempts is not the deliverable: the approved footage is. Relevant cases help discuss image quality but do not establish your campaign’s future conversion rate.
SHAR Production's Moscow contact point at 12 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment is used for meetings by appointment. It is not an owned soundstage. When filming is needed, a rented or partner location is selected for the project. AI scenes, CGI and manual cleanup are agreed from the shot list. See the Moscow production context in Russian for project-planning details.
Check it in a visual test and isolate the elements that need exact reproduction. Depending on the shot, film the product, model it in CGI or add it through compositing. Choose the approach before producing the whole series.
Projection films: Lenfilm: Chapter 1 and Lenfilm: Chapter 2.

Compare proposals against the same shot and delivery list. Equal runtime does not mean equal scope: one estimate may cover a generated background with an existing product asset; another may require character development, complex action and separate packaging work. The service's starting price is stated above; the actual project scope is agreed after the brief.
Development: who provides the concept, script, storyboard and visual references, and which materials the client has already approved.
Shots: how many distinct actions and objects need producing, including exact product details, recurring characters or difficult motion.
Finishing: which defects can be corrected within the selected method and which elements need CGI, filming or compositing.
Approvals: when decisions are made, and how correcting a failure to meet the brief differs from changing an approved concept.
Delivery: which runtimes, aspect ratios, languages, subtitles and usage rights are included; production working files are discussed separately.
With a limited budget, identify the essential message, the key product shot and the required placements first. Then compare reductions in complexity or version count. Removing a necessary product check changes the result even if the runtime stays the same. Send this information with the product materials so that the estimate addresses your project rather than an abstract second of generation.
Compare the scope with the video production pricing guide, then send the shots and versions in your brief.
AI production hub: choosing AI, CGI and 3D
Supply a new packaging, interface or product-shape revision and list what changed. The team needs to identify which approved shots depend on those details. A label change may require a new product composite; a shape change may also affect its interaction with a person or environment. Before continuing, review the shot with the greatest dependency on the changed asset. A small brand-artwork revision can otherwise surface in several finished scenes.
Give a timecode, the detail and the intended state, such as “the lid in this shot should match the supplied product view.” Separate a mismatch with approved materials from a new creative request. Regeneration may alter a neighbouring detail that previously worked, so review the complete revised shot. For a recurring character or product, also compare the preceding and following shots.
Cutting a film down and changing the product action require different work. For a vertical version, check whether the product, person and message remain visible together. If an essential detail falls outside the new crop, scaling down the master is insufficient: a different composition or shot may be needed. Agree on these differences before estimating adaptations. This separates versions assembled from approved footage from versions that affect shot production.
Start with the brief and supplied assets. Digital shots require agreement on product accuracy and acceptance. A live-action component also needs product access, participants and a selected location. The existing Moscow production page explains project organisation in Russian; this is commissioned production, not a claim of an owned rental soundstage.
